Hardly any rain yesterday, and most of the water in our yard drained off, but we ain't out of the woods yet. Heavy thunderstorms are expected today, and we can already hear thunder in the distance.
The road we took to the doctor on Monday morning has been impassable for the last 36 hours. The East Fork of the San Jacinto River is over the road and was still rising yesterday afternoon.
Our first stop on our upcoming vacation was to be Stephen F. Austin State Park. Their website this morning says that they will be closed due to flooding for at least the next ten days.
