I made good on my plan from yesterday’s post. Late yesterday morning, I loaded the old couch back on the tractor and carried it out to the burnng pile.
What happened next was amazing!
I dumped it on the pile, splashed a bit of gasoline on it to get it started, and set it afire. I expected to have at least soomething left over – some metal frame pieces, some springs, something. It turns out the frame was all wood, and the rubberfoam was supported by nylon straps instead of springs – within 10 minutes of setting it ablaze, NOTHING was left, and I do mean nothing at all.
