This past year was extremely rough on our azaleas – a couple months of almost constant rain, followed by months with no moisture at all, took its toll.
We actually lost several plants, and I thought we had lost the one below until a single pink bloom appeared on what I thought was a dead branch.
The same goes for the white one in the background.
Others reacted to adversity by blooming like crazy.
And the rest were somewhere in between.
