Somehow, the election of Donald Trump has led to the resurrection of Dan Rather. Articles by Rather are showing up all over the net, and Trump haters are quoting him in posts on Facebook, etc.
Well, he is something of an expert on Fake News.
For those who don't remember, he was the Brian Williams of his day, fired from his post as anchor of CBS News for reporting spurious charges against George Bush. He used counterfeit documents to "prove" a rumor that Bush had gone AWOL from the National Guard, and those actions led to him leaving the network in disgrace.
It amazes me that the left is now embracing him as an arbiter of how things should be. He should have just continued to live in quiet obscurity.
