Unlike the night before, we were glued to the television last night watching our Houston Astros defeat the New York Yankees four to zip to win the American League Championship and a trip to the World Series.
We did fast-forward through a bunch of commercials, and paused the TV for smoke and potty breaks and to put the dogs to bed, but we watched every play of the game start to finish and well into the post-game celebration.
One thing I did not hear mentioned on TV that is the Astros became the first team in history to win both the American and National League Championships. The only other team to compete in both, the Milwaukee Brewers won the ALCS in 1982, but lost the NLCS in 2011.
