Our flood insurance adjuster finally made it here yesterday afternoon, but it was just a preliminary visit, he'll be back - probably next week sometime - to do his final assessment.
The one thing that he did stress was that we had to get the sheet rock in the garage pulled ASAP.
We got started on that yesterday, and a group from our next-door-neighbor's church is supposed to come help us today. Meanwhile, we're doing it ourselves.
The carpenter ants in the house are under control, but they ain't nothing compared to the fire ants I found in the garage wall. They had come in and built a nest between a couple studs to get out of the water. When I pulled that piece of sheet rock and hauled it to the trailer, I got stung a half dozen times before I could let it go.
