I didn't really have anything to report today.  Actually December 29 seems like sort of a nothing day - the day after our wedding  anniversary, a couple days short of the new year, etc. 
Just to have something to write, I went to one of those today in history sites to see what had happened on the 29th of December.

• Henry II has Thomas Beckett assassinated (1170)
• Mary Tyler Moore was born (1936)
• Grigori Rasputin died (1916)
• Steve Lawrence wed Eydie Gorme (1957)
• Emma Snodgrass arrested in Boston for wearing pants (1852)
